One week from today on October 25, the Porterville Adult Day Services will be hosting an all-day caregiver conference for family caregivers and professionals.
CAREGIVING in the Tennis Shoe Generation* kicks off with a moving yet humorous keynote by yours truly, tying together experiences as a family caregiver, completing a marathon, and hiking 10 – 20 miles in California’s tallest mountains.
My presentation, Can I SURVIVE as a caregiver? is based on my popular keynote speech, which increases awareness of the caregiver’s role while building hope and strength with knowledge, support, and humor–our mission at TheCaregiversVoice.com
Additional EXPERTS to be featured at this day-long conference are:
Tom Wright, Chartered Life Underwriter, who will overview long-term care insurance, living trusts, health care and financial directives. Wright will also discuss financial strategies to maximize wealth and minimize taxes.
Chitra Seralathon, Teacher of Life Bliss Foundation will lead a Life Bliss Meditation in the afternoon to help caregivers Relax, Rejuvenate, and Radiate. What a great way to end the day!
There will be an opportunity to participate in a Support Group en masse, where family caregivers’ and professionals’ issues will be discussed.
CAREGIVERS and health care professionals will gain greater awareness, inspiration, knowledge, strategies, and resources during this day-long conference.
*CAREGIVING is not a sprint, it’s a marathon.
If we pace ourselves, use available resources, and
take care of ourselves, we’ll cross the finish line.

What a FUN TIME I had in Porterville, Calif. The Porterville Adult Day Services presents an annual Caregiver Conference. We managed to fulfill our objectives–bring knowledge, hope, and joy to family caregivers and professionals.
Brenda, I really wish I could attend. But, 3,000 miles seperates us. Someday, someday.
