Illegal immigrants don’t collect benefits. Non-citizens who are working and paying into the system for at least 10 years, do. Social Security is not going bankrupt. Stigmatization Strikes Again

In this article he writes about a recent experience with a neurologist who disbelievingly insisted he receive another assessment by one of the four neurologists LeBlanc had seen for his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Stigmatization is real. How LeBlanc responds is a testament to today’s Alzheimer’s activists who are still able to speak for themselves and advocate for others.
Retailers Don’t Make It Easy for Family Caregivers
In an article for AARP, Nancy Kerr writes, “most family caregivers find in-store shopping a struggle.” She adds, “… a lack of up-close parking, limited seating and narrow aisles in retail stores cause most to shop online for the convenience, despite preferring an in-store experience.” AARP’s family and caregiving expert, Amy Goyer, writes about needing family bathrooms while taking her parents shopping since both needed assistance.
