This 7-minute video, Person-Centered Matters: Making Life Better for Someone Living with Dementia, was originally released in December 2014 as a 16-minute video. I was surprised to learn about it only recently.
Thanks to the Dementia Action Alliance, an organization, dedicated to helping people with dementia live more fully while supporting those who care for them, I am sharing it with you.
Let us not forget that people with dementia are people first regardless of memory loss, disorientation, and other challenges resulting from brain cells destroyed by disease.
Let this short video remind you as it does me to respect those whose lives have been detoured with a diagnosis of dementia. Together we can learn much about ourselves as we share ways to make life better for people with dementia.
