The Caregiver’s Voice seeks nominations for TCV’s October Caregiver of the Month.
The Caregiver’s Voice will be recognizing caregivers–the silent heroes who provide comfort and care to our loved ones.
Millions of caregivers worldwide provide quality care for loved ones, but their faces are unseen and their work goes unrecognized.
Marion Riley (photo to the left) was one of these caregivers as she took on the role of caregiving for her beloved husband, Don.
On the 9th of September 1996 (fourteen years ago today), I became a full-time caregiver. I’ve walked the caregiving journey beside my father with Alzheimer’s.
Caregivers engage in heroic deeds each day. It’s time we recognize YOU…
- for a job well done.
- in order to remind us of what constitutes quality care.
- to add a little fun and a “feel-good” element.
- to help raise awareness of what caregivers endure to provide quality care.
Nominations are open to family caregivers AND professionals.
Nominations will close September 30th for TCV’s Caregiver of the month in October.
Knowing caregivers, you may be hesitant to nominate yourself. For this reason, I strongly urge family, friends, and professionals to nominate those caregivers in your life who you believe should be recognized.
