If YOU ARE or KNOW an understanding, empathic, comforting, kind, and funny caregiver who shows unconditional love, send in a NOMINATION.
We’re not looking for saints! We know that the challenges of caregiving can make our best intentions look, at times, like an angel without wings.
We’re looking for caregivers who, despite the challenges and obstacles, still try to go above and beyond the call of duty to provide exceptional care for adults with brain impairement.
Nominations are due Midnight Pacific Time this Sunday, March 20th.
On a personal note: I will complete an 18-year goal–to run the Los Angeles Marathon on this day. If you want to follow me, my Bib # is 10647 and I plan to “run” (jog/walk) from Dodger Stadium to the Pacific Ocean in 5 and 1/2 hours. When you think of the near-impossible goal of traversing 26.2 miles, realize that there are times when a caregiver’s responsibilities may make running a marathon look easy.
