Review of Emerald Brand Personal Paper Products
If you’re ready for a change of personal paper products, consider these tree-free facial tissues and toilet paper rolls made by Emerald Brand. [6/3/2024 TCV Update of URL]
I was shocked to see the car fill with floating lint particles after retrieving a single tissue from a popular-branded box.
For people with allergies, this means more sneezing and the need for more tissues.
I’ve noticed over the years that regardless of how much I pay for luxuriously soft facial tissues, my nose stays irritated and the skin peels. This creates awkward moments during face-to-face conversations. People wipe their noses thinking I didn’t finish the job. I promise not to go into further detail.
Do manufacturers purposely add irritants so we use more?
I was about to give up hope, when Shoplet.com, an online supply store, offered to send me Emerald Brand samples (pictured above) in exchange for a review. What could it hurt?
Emerald Brand’s facial tissues and toilet paper [6/3/2024 TCV Update: URL to these products are no longer available] are made with sugarcane bagasse and bamboo.
No Lint, Long-Lasting, and Strong
When I opened them, I was slightly disappointed that they did not feel as soft to the touch as the tissues I’ve been using. Despite my hesitancy, I tried the facial tissues. After all, I agreed to review these products. My expectations were turned sideways. Unlike the popular brands, these tissues didn’t irritate my nose.
What I appreciate is there’s no lint. People with allergies will find this very beneficial. (Exception: When you tear the tissue, there is a bit of lint.)
Additionally, the toilet paper and facial tissues are remarkably strong. This means I need to use less. Instead of using the tissue and tossing it, I can get a couple uses from one.
The toilet paper lasted 30% longer than the popular brands I’ve tried with marketing pronouncements such as: jumbo, double-roll, extra-wide, soft, and plush.

If you’re concerned about your health these facial tissues and toilet paper are the way to go. Emerald Brand claims that using these tree-free products saves 370,500 trees EVERY DAY. Using waste products from sugarcane may be a “sweet” gesture, but it also is an environmentally sound one.
