The Life Cycle is All Backwards
by Sean Morey*
(Variations of the slightly edited piece below are attributed to Woody Allen and George Carlin.)
You should start out dead and get it out of the way.
Then, you wake up in an old-age-home feeling better every day.
You get kicked out for being too healthy;
you collect your pension,
then when you start work,
you get a gold watch on your first day.
You work 40 years until
you’re young enough to enjoy retirement.
You drink alcohol, you party, you’re generally promiscuous
and you get ready for high school.
You go to primary school,
you become a kid, you play,
you have no responsibilities,
you become a baby, and then…
You spend your last 9 months
floating peacefully in luxury,
in spa-like conditions;
central heating, room service on tap,
and larger quarters every day,
until you finish off [as OMG]!
Be sure to share the joy with a fellow caregiver who deserves a reason to smile.
Uh-ohhhh…
After 10 years, a wife questioned whether their son was theirs.
She ordered a DNA test. He wasn’t.
She told her husband, who then reminded her:
When we were leaving the hospital, the baby pooped.
You told me to go change him.
So, I went inside and got a clean one and left the dirty one there.
A Cat Or A Turkey?
My kids say
they want a cat for Christmas
Normally I do a turkey,
but hey, if it’ll make ’em happy…
For those who are not willing to pay…
Sitting in a recliner
naked
watching a movie
eating ice cream and Doritos
minding my own business
when Walmart calls the cops
For the busy caregiver who wants to add a gourmet touch…
Oftentimes, we give others too much credit, when this is…
Thank you, Kirk Bresee, for most of the funny memes and humor posted above.
