The local news station was interviewing an 80-year-old lady…
She had just married for the fourth time.
The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and about her new husband’s occupation.
“He’s a funeral director,” she answered.
“Interesting”, the newsman replied. “Would you mind mind telling me a little about your first three husbands and what they did for a living?”
She paused a few moments, and as she reflected upon all those years, a smile came to her face.
She answered proudly, “First, I married a banker in my 20s then a circus ringmaster in my 40s, a preacher in my 60s, and now, in my 80s, a funeral director.
The interviewer appeared astonished and wanted to learn more. “Why did you marry four men with such diverse careers?”
She smiled and, almost to the beat of a rapper, replied, “I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go.”
Oh, just hush-up and send this link to somebody who needs a laugh!
