The Caregiver’s Voice launches a new column – Avadian’s Musings
Have you ever had a moment when something strikes you and you find yourself deep in thought–musing?
Hmmmmm.
The image that comes to my mind is Rodin’s The Thinker.
The Avadian’s Musings column will build upon those issues that make us pause to think, ponder, or muse upon something like, “Hmmm…where did common sense go?”
Enjoy this column and if you have issues to ponder, let’s muse upon them together. Send me your issues.
Thank you Crystal Borde for permission to use your photo of Rodin’s The Thinker.
Hi Brenda….as you know, I took care of my mother for 6 years following a Cerebral Vascular Attack which left her with horrible dementia. Being on the other side of dementia is often frustrating and heartbreaking. There are also those moments that just make you shake your head and laugh out loud. The dialogues sometimes are right out of a sitcom. Maybe you can share some of the moments you experienced with your Dad?
Now there’s an idea, Carmen! I may just may do that.
(Why didn’t your suggestion even cross my mind?) THANKS!
