The Hamilton Council on Aging of Ontario Canada recently spearheaded an inspirational Faces of Dementia awareness campaign.
In a series of compelling video stories and beautiful posters and imagery, Faces of Dementia features the stories of people living with dementia and their “I am more [than dementia]” campaign. Click on image above to view video on YouTube.
(A similar campaign launched last year for care partners for people with dementia. The Caregiver Action Network launched the “CaregiverAnd” campaign during National Family Caregivers Month. Caregivers are more than just caregivers.)
The “I am more” campaign for people with dementia was moderated by David Harvey, host of the Dementia Dialogue podcast and Phyllis Fehr, dementia advocate and international speaker. It includes a panel discussion among the campaign creators and participants.
