A bit of humor to lighten your day especially if you have dementia or are a caregiver for a person with dementia.
The book advises – If there’s ever been a time in our lives when we don’t want to misplace our sense of humor – this is it! We need this advice today more than ever before!
A group of long-time friends met at a different restaurant on the first Tuesday of every month for a little fun, food, and conversation. They were talking about how wonderful the cannoli was at the restaurant where they’d met the previous month. All except Lisa, who’d been out of town that week. “So, where’d you go?” Lisa asked.
Barb, the woman to her right, asked, “What’s the name of that flower you give to someone you love? You know… the one that’s red and has thorns?”
“Rose?” Lisa asked.
“Yeah, that’s the one, Barb said. She turned to the woman on her right and asked, “Hey, Rose, what’s the name of that restaurant we went to last month?”

Long-time friend and pivotal life-mentor, Jim Bauernfeind, gave me this book, So THAT’s Where’s I Put That! for Christmas 2018. I opened it recently and as I enjoy it, I am sharing with you the humor and light reflections for getting through those senior (uh-hmmm) moments.
Here’s another light one with a double entendre.
A sandwich walks into a bar.
The bartender says, “Sorry, we don’t serve food here.”
Of course, these days, taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, bars and restaurants are no longer serving patrons inside!
